　ソニー・インタラクティブエンタテインメントが2022年4月5日に発売した野球ゲーム「MLB The Show 22」（PS5 / PS4 / Xbox Series X / Xbox One / Nintendo Switch）は，その名前が示すとおり，MLB（メジャー・リーグ・ベースボール）の公式ライセンスを受けた作品。実名選手による試合を楽しんだり，自分の分身となる新人をスーパースターに育て上げたりと，さまざまな遊びかたができる。

　そんな本作のパッケージを飾っているのは，2021年シーズンのMVPに輝いた大谷翔平選手。投手としても打者としても超一流だけに，「もし大谷と大谷が対戦したら……」と思うファンは多いだろう。
